another photoshop effort

as the title says, here's another photoshop effort of mine heh. Now, you may be wondering, why so many attempts on Photoshop? Well, I like to keep my career options open, though I think i'm really looking into deejaying as my line of work, I'd like to contribute more too and these things on Photoshop that I post are good additions to my portfolio of stuff (i used to do blends, which I think are nice too heh). Also, the more I do, the better I get at it (more or less) and the more techniques I learn! Ooh and also coz sometimes I'm bored haha.
Joce asked me, "Why use yourself as the subject?" I do realize it's odd but firstly, it's difficult to find celebrities to edit the features of because they're generally quite perfect, or well-photographed or photoshopped already so no use. Then if I use other people or my friends, it's just weird! I tried it before and really, not easy. For their pics I only do color editing max. Coz you don't usually see the flaws in your friends and even if you did and had the choice to change everything on their face, you won't know where to stop or where to begin, coz you don't know to what extent will be 'good'. So I work on myself, because I know where I'm lacking and what extent I want to change my features coz I still wanna look like myself, just cleaner and more polished. Heh.
So anyways, here's my newest attempt, and this time, I made sure to save them step by step so you can see the small minute differences heh. But first, the completed work, the original and the side-by-side comparison! =D
Yea it's actually a very weird final product, especially the eyes la. Couldn't get a good eyelash brush that was nice and fit =( Ok here's the step by step for those of you who wanted it:
So from the original pic above, I liquified the eyes and the face shape and got the below image:
Then I smoothed out the skin. There are a number of ways to do this, manually or by using filters so really depends on what you wanna do. For this one I used a median filter and got the image below..
Yup. Heh. Ok next up were the eyes. Just added eyelash brushes lo. Not very nice though.. Ignore la k heh.
Uh huh.. Yup then after that I edited the teeth! This one I do manually one lo.
Hahas. A bit fake and white hor. Coz I forgot to adjust the opacity sian heh. I will come back to the teeth later so yea. Next, I added some blusher:
On one cheek only lol! I couldn't get the right color for the other cheek sian. Haha. Actually can la but lazy. Hee. Anyways, then lipstick..
Yup yup.. Then I edited the hair color haha but it's a bit sloppy lol.
Next I went back to touchup the teeth using liquify...
It all looks like not much diff right haha. Anyways then after that I gave myself cheek lifts with liquify again!
Yup... Then after that I edited the colors to get:
And there you go! Heh. Not my best work so far though. I don't really think very well of this job heh.
Anyways, hope all those who were wondering how I do this are satisfied with this semi-tutorial thing! I still feel the thing i'm best at is editing color of the picture in general. Hmm what do you all think? Haha.
