guess it's time to blog before everything piles up again!
so i last blogged on thursday when i had a
loooong dreary day. my schooldays, particularly
tuesdays and thursdays, are kinda horrible coz my
schedule goes like this:
0900 - 1030: COM326 Public Speaking
1500-1630: MGG150 Business and Society
1700-1830: Tuition
so yea.. and between 1030 to 1500 i have ta
stay in school and stuff. Which is ok because I have time to spend
having lunch with Ann =) And chatting with
Joce. Hehe. I'm gonna make full use of that time and
learn jap from
joce! Yay. But
come Tuesday I'll have to go for my
dental appointment at 11am after the first class... Haha. Can't wait to hear the dentist's verdict and see
what kinda work I should get.. Then it'll all be a matter of scheduling the surgeries!! Haha it's quite a done deal.. I've already spoken to my parents so i just can't wait now.
Perfect smile coming up in a month or so!!! YAY.
So anyway yea, my Tuesdays and Thursdays are just draggy and dreary. On top of that, I have lecturers that I seriously
detest.. The Public Speaking teacher isn't so bad. She has this cute little
Southern drawl which makes me giggle every 5 mins, but she has a very
strict, regimented idea of what Public Speaking is so... Not my kinda professor.
The MGG150 guy was supposed to be
Bob Foo!!!! I'd wanted to have him as my prof coz he
taught Chris and my Dad before and they
both said he's good so I was really looking forward to it...
Yarn didn't like him though.. But I'd personally met him before (when he was my dad's mentor we
went to his house once or twice) and I thought he wasn't all that bad! Plus it'd be nice to have someone have taught both my dad and myself before mwahaha. Then we can have a comparison of who's the better student. HAHA. A little bit of
family rivalry here. hee.
But anyway as it turned out.. They changed it to
some guy whose name I shan't mention.. He's SUCH AN
ANNOYING THING!!! On the first day he asked us to guess what's different about him from the other local lecturers.. Nick said that he has a
different accent and he kinda said no. Then when we finally gave up after like 30mins, he said it's coz he
speaks differently. -___-"" WTF. Then he showed us his
NY driver's license on the visualizer and said he's the only local lecturer who has this. !!! I felt like kicking his newyorkborn ass. Then during the lesson he keeps going on and on about how things are
different in America, about how small Singapore is (like he took out a copy of the Wall Street Journal Asia and read out every story from cover to cover, just to make the point that there wasn't a single story about Singapore in there).. How insignificant Singapore is, how it takes
8hours to drive from Buffalo to NYC (and saying that it's normal in the States to have to drive so far and not like Singapore where an hour's drive takes you anywhere) I'm like, I KNOW OK! WE ALL MADE THAT DRIVE/RIDE BEFORE YOU ARROGANT KNOWitALL.
After 20mins of that i was
clenching my fists and holding onto stuff just so I wouldn't start screaming/hitting him. It was really annoying!!! He did the
same thing during the 2nd lesson too! OMG annoying. Part of me started
wondering if I was being so annoying too when I talk about the States with my friends..
If it really is annoying, friends, please let me know. I'll stop it i promise.
So yea. Rant over. Then
Fridays I have just
one lesson - NTR109/110 (Nutrition in Practice) at 1130am to 130pm.. The lecturer is some Indian lady with the
strongest Indian accent I've ever encountered.. At least, it's the strongest I've encountered in a lecturer. Seriously when she said "
Nineteen ninety nine" i almost died trying to figure out what the hell she was saying. And she was killing me with her semi-monotone and general
anal-ism. ARGH.
Anyways so last Friday after a loooong draggy nutrition class (where I seriously
wished I was at the
WRUB General meeting instead ><) I went to meet my
cousin Charmaine for a day of chats and shopping (oh and many
AM alerts. hahaha)! Her sis (my cuz)
Beatrice joined us with her friend
Ginny/Jeanie later too. It was a great day. I'll let the pics do the talking =)

Hehe. Yeps. Nice long day of camwhoring too. haha. Yays. Barring the stupid nutrition lesson, I had a really really happy day on Friday =D
Yesterday (Saturday) was spent slacking away at home, goodness knows i needed it. Chatted some online. Yea that was about it. Lots of fb activity tho hahaha.
Today. Slacking too! Whee. And then I'm going to church later, followed by family gathering with the maternal side. Yup. Oh yea. Charmaine's my cousin on the paternal side. Yup.
So anyways, I've been having reeeeaally weird dreams. REALLY weird dreams. Hmm.
Song for today... Aye. I have no idea coz I'm still really loving Breathless by Corinne Bailey Rae! Go listen to it if you haven't! The lyrics are right down there! (OH it just started playing on the playlist!!! YESS! haha) PS i have my blog playlist on 24/7 nowadays hehehe. I truly love it =)
What i really like about the song Breathless is mainly the melodic lines of the chorus, especially the line "There's a chemistry, energy, a synchronicity" yea. The ascending scales/motif.. Super hot. haha. The instrumentation is really great too! I like songs where the music surrounds me in a really big way... With a great bass line and drums.. Haha. Plus Corinne's voice is AMAZING. Can you say AMAZING? I love how her voice breaks at all the right places... The first "breath" in the first chorus, the "ni" in the word "synchronicity".... Sighhhh.. hehe Ok yea listen to the damn song already! =)
funny how i wanna hold on again just because of some things. haha. when i was all ready to move on too! dang.
